Upon departing the Pit Stop, teams would have to dress up as the two detective characters from The Adventures of Tintin, known as "Thomson and Thompson", "Dupond and Dupont", or "Johnson and Johnston". Teams then made their way to this station and had to search for the Tintin mural outside, where they would find a man dressed as Tintin. They had to tell him who they were dressed as (using one of the three sets of names above) in order to receive their next clue. This was originally the second, unaired Detour choice from leg 9.

Upon arrival here, teams would receive a departure time for the next morning. When their time arrived, they would receive a temporary tattoo from the indigenous peoples of the village, before returning down the river in their river boat.

Roadblock.png Roadblock: When teams reached the base of these towers, they found a Roadblock. Who wants to walk on rarified air? The chosen team member had to make their way to the top of one of the towers and cross a tightrope spanning between the two towers, 65 feet above the ground. They would retrieve their next clue from the other tower, and would then cross the tightrope back to the first tower before descending to the ground floor.

Teams were told to find "The man under the rooster", and had to figure out that this referred to the statue of Ferdinand de Lesseps, where they would retrieve their Detour information.

Filet: At the Mariscos Market, teams would have to deliver fish to stalls around Panama's largest fish market. Each stall would only accept a certain type of fish, and only a certain weight amount of that fish. A fishmonger would give them their next clue once the deliveries were completed.

Sole: At the Salsipuedes Market, teams had to use leather to make a sole and strapping for a pair of sandals. Once both team members had satisfied their customers, the cobbler would give them their next clue.
