|Roadblock Count||Shola 0, Doyin 1|
Shola and Doyin Richards are twins who competed on The Amazing Race 2. They are from Albany, New York. The team suffered a scare when Doyin's foot was run over by a taxi during the second leg, but he was not seriously injured. They were eliminated in Namibia in 8th after becoming hopelessly lost well into the late night.

- "Doyin Brian Richards...whatever you do...don't look down..." – Doyin
- Mountain: Rappel down Morro da Urca mountainside.
Shola & Doyin started their race in the middle of the pack, rushing to their vehicles and heading off to the airport, eager to get on the first flight. Once at the airport, they along with many other teams were held up by a suspicious security guard. When finally permitted to enter the airport, they are the last team able to receive tickets on the first American Airlines flight. Along with them are Tara & Wil, Blake & Paige, Hope & Norm, Cyndi & Russell, Chris & Alex and Mary & Peach. They reach the statue and retrieve their next clue. They then head to the docks and get on the main ferry to the island, but watch as Cyndi & Russell speed past them in an express ferry.
Once on the island, they get into a horse-drawn carriage to take them to Fat Maria. They reach the tree and kiss it at the same time as Chris & Alex and Hope & Norm. At the hotel, they hear Tara calling for Wil and locate the sign-up sheet, getting onto the first ferry along with Cyndi & Russell and Blake & Paige. In the morning, they depart and return to the mainland. They take a taxi to the mountain and end up on the gondola with the same two teams. At the top they find the Detour and immediately decide to complete Mountain. In third place, Doyin rappels first, telling himself to not look down as he is afraid of heights. He slips near the beginning, but keeps his cool. Shola then hurries down and they get their next clue, just barely still in second. Once at the marina on Urca Beach, they team up with Cyndi & Russell to find a boat willing to take them to the yacht. Once there, they climb out behind the pastors and reach the Pit Stop in 3rd place.
Departing at 11:35pm, Shola & Doyin headed back to shore and commented that they barely had any lead over the teams behind them. They got into a blue taxi and headed for the nightclub. They retrieved the clue from the dancer and quickly departed. When their taxi drops them off at the base of Pedra Bonita, Doyin steps out of the taxi but then the driver pulls forward a few feet and runs the wheel over the backside of his heel. He is immediately on the ground and in pain. With nothing seriously damaged, he shakes off the pain and slowly makes his way up the hill. They are passed along the way by Tara & Wil. When they get their clue, they decide that Seek Out would take too long and choose to perform Freak Out in the morning.
After giving it some thought, with Shola being afraid of heights and Doyin injured, they decide instead to go and check out the Fast Forward. They make their way to Copacabana Beach and wait there for the task to begin in the morning. Soon, Gary & Dave also show up and wait, but this doesn't concern the twins in the least. Morning arrives and the games begin. After a few losses, they score their first point before Gary & Dave. They continue playing and reach five points before the former roommates can score their first. Though Gary & Dave immediately score another point, the twins easily score five more points and win the Fast Forward. At some point during the game, Shola twists his knee. They then begin their journey to the Pit Stop and travel to the bus station. They purchase tickets on a 9:50 bus, which Tara & Wil and Chris & Alex also get on.
Halfway through their journey, one of the inner tires on one of the double wheels suffers a blowout. When the driver does an inadequate job of replacing the tire, all three teams step in to speed up the process and soon enough they are on their way again. The delay only accounts for 15 lost minutes. Once they arrive, they get into their vehicle and proceed to the Pit Stop. They are both hindered by their injuries on the long path through the jungle, but they arrive at the Pit Stop in 1st place.
- "I actually came into this with no preconceived notions of South Africa. I just did not know what to expect and I have been blown away." – Doyin
- Dance: Perform with a South African dancing troupe to earn 25 Rand.
- Doyin: Search Langa Township for Epsom salts, a smiley, and a Sangoma, then drink a concoction.
- 5th (tie)
Departing at 10:34pm, Shola & Doyin are incredibly excited to go to Africa as their father is originally from Sierra Leone. When they arrive at the airport, they discover that the only flight to São Paulo is tomorrow morning. Once there, they team up with Cyndi & Russell to try and secure flights. They head to American Airlines and speak to the agents there. Blake & Paige enter afterwards and speak to an agent who isn't helping anyone, angering them as they felt the siblings were skipping the line. Soon after, they secure flights to London along with Cyndi & Russell. They also get confirmed seats that will take them from London to Cape Town, which the pastors do not have. From London, they continue on to Cape Town alone.
They are the fourth team to reach Cape Town and travel by taxi to the ferries. They rush to try and catch the 10am ferry, but miss it by a couple of minutes. They wait for the next ferry and are joined by Mary & Peach for the voyage. The two are emotional about visiting Mandela's cell and wish that they could have spent more time there reflecting. They get their clue and return to the mainland with the sisters. On the way there, they pass by Blake & Paige heading to the island. A local at the harbour suggests that they take a train to Kalk Bay as it is both faster and cheaper. This information is completely false, and they fall far behind the sisters. By the time they arrive at Kalk Bay, Blake & Paige have passed them.
They pick up the Detour and decide to complete Deliver. They walk out to the piers and find the baskets they need to use, but cannot find the actual fish they need to carry. Eventually they give up and switch to Dance, by which point the siblings have finished the task already. The outfits they are provided do not fit them at all as they are way too tall for them. They perform the dance, but look rather silly doing it because of their restricted movement. This works to their favor, though, as the locals enjoyed the show and gave them the money they needed. They then get on the train back to Cape Town, rejoining Blake & Paige. The two teams share a taxi to the township, and Doyin decides to perform the Roadblock. He and Blake purchase what they need and complete the task, and he has a great time interacting with the local Africans. They then travel to the Pit Stop and decide to step on the mat together with the siblings, putting them in a tie for 5th place.
- "I wanna be at the finish line to shake their hand." – Shola
- Directed to the Pit Stop before they could reach the Detour.
Departing at 6:02 alongside Blake & Paige, Shola & Doyin hopped in a taxi and raced to the airport, though they were rather surprised to hear that the fare was 400 Rand ($50). Their driver tells them that there is a shortcut they can take and takes it. This lets them pass Blake & Paige, but they still end up on the second flight along with the siblings, Cyndi & Russell and Chris & Alex. Once in Walvis Bay, they make their way to the taxi stand and order a taxi, quickly departing. They, along with the pastors and siblings, retrieve their clue from the lighthouse and head to their vehicles. Shola gets into the driver's seat, but he has an incredibly difficult time operating the manual transmission. Driving stick is one of his biggest weaknesses. Doyin, meanwhile, cannot locate the Matterhorn Sand Dune on the map. They ask some locals for help, but their directions prove to be rather unhelpful.
Shola turns off the highway and onto a sand road while looking for the Matterhorn, but their vehicle ends up completely stuck in the sand. Luckily, there is a pair of locals nearby who help them get out and they continue on their way. Still searching for the Matterhorn, they ask a local at a gas station. He says that he can show them where it is tomorrow, but not today. By this point, it is 7:37pm, only eight minutes before the Matterhorn closes. Eventually, night falls before they can make it there and their race unceremoniously comes to a close. They are taken in their vehicle to the Pit Stop, where they are eliminated by Phil. Both are happy to have gotten to race with each other, and comment that whoever wins the race is definitely going to have earned it.
